Vice President, Investments
Gordian makes a small number of concentrated investments each year, primarily in secondary situations that are difficult to price. That means going deeply into a handful of opportunities rather than triaging many.
You'll work across the full investment process — underwriting, structuring, and execution — building a bottoms-up view of a portfolio, forming a view on what it's worth, and defending it. You'll be expected to lead diligence from initial review through closing and communicate investment conclusions clearly to institutional investors.
We're not a volume business, and we don't staff like one.
This is an underwriting-led role, suited to an investor with independent judgment and the ability to build trusted relationships. Candidates should have at least five years of private-markets investing experience and a track record of leading company-level underwriting. Relevant backgrounds include venture or growth equity, co-investments, direct investing, and secondaries. Direct-secondary experience is helpful but not required. Candidates may be based in any major investment hub.
